Please vote for our Ashoka-Changemakers proposal

Please vote and comment on our Ashoka-Changemakers proposal. We are proposing to launch a web-based Guide to Learning Innovations — a free and open resource for educational materials and other resources that work well in developing nations. We hope to go online this spring. It is easy for you to vote. Just go to http://www.changemakers.net/en-us/node/17386, read the proposal summary, vote by clicking on the stars and make a comment.

Why is this Guide to Learning Innovations so important? Education for all is necessary for a sustainable world; it reduces economic and class disparities, which threaten peace and prosperity worldwide. OLE exists because more than 100 nations have committed to achieve Universal Basic Education by 2015 — yet one billion children still have no meaningful education.

The Guide will be the go-to multi-media pathway to results-based learning innovations, a lively interactive forum where both effective and ineffective approaches can be explored, debated, revised, adopted or discarded. It will be a hybrid of Consumer Reports, Wikipedia and YouTube. Educators and policy-makers will be able to use it to find innovations that match their needs and capacities. Please click on this link http://www.changemakers.net/en-us/node/17386, read the brief summary, give the proposal a rating and make a comment. Your vote and comments will count.

Thank you for serving the world’s children!
